Information for Participants

Insurance
  • Please be advised to obtain adequate health and accident insurance to cover all medical contingencies during the conference and your stay in Japan.
Computers
  • Only 3 computers will be available for conference participants. We recommend you to take your own computers if possible.
  • You can connect to the internet free of charge from your hotel room if you bring your own computers. For more information on the hotel's internet facilities, please visit their web site at: http://www.heartonhotel.com/kyoto/
Food
  • Breakfast are provided for free during the conference at the hotel.
Banking
  • If you have a cash card with the mark PLUS, you can withdraw Japanese yen(JPY) from ATMs in banks, post offices, or convenience stores "seven-eleven".
  • You have few chance to change foreign currency to JPY in the city. Foreign money change is available only at banks with change desks (not many). Near the hotel, Kyoto bank gSANJO branchh is able to change foreign currency to JPY. (This is located on east side of the Karasuma st. southward from Karasuma-oike crossing, 9 am - 3 pm)
Visa Information
  • If you need a visa to enter Japan, please apply for your visa as early as possible. Please be aware that the application process, visa requirements, fees, etc. for obtaining a Japanese visa differ depending on the applicant's nationality.
